Ways to Install QuickBooks on Multiple PC’s

If your organization has multiple employees who require simultaneous access to QuickBooks, you can install QuickBooks on more than one PC for multiple individuals. According to Intuit QuickBooks, you may install a single-individual license version of QuickBooks on a computer and on a portable device (a laptop, for example) only if there is one individual for both devices. To install QuickBooks on additional computers for additional individuals, you must buy additional licenses.


Insert the QuickBooks CD. The Intuit QuickBooks Installer will open automatically. If the dialog box does not open, have a right-click on the Start button on your device and choose the option of Explore. Choose the CD of QB in the Folders list on the left side of the Explore window, and click on the Setup.exe to launch the Intuit QuickBooks Installer. If you downloaded QuickBooks from Intuit.com, have a double-click on the downloaded installation file to launch the Intuit QuickBooks Installer. Click on the option of Next button in the lower right corner of the Intuit QuickBooks Installer to go to the License Agreement.

Click in the option of check box next to I accept the terms of the license agreement on the License Agreement page of the Intuit QuickBooks Installer, and also have an option of Next to go to the Select “Installation Type” page.

Choose the option of Express on the option of Installation Type page to receive recommendations from QuickBooks on installation options. Choose the option of Custom and Network Options to share QuickBooks across a network. Skip the next step if you choose Custom and Network Options.

Step 4

If you choose the option of Express in the previous step, click on the option of Next to go to the License and Product Numbers page. Enter License and Product Numbers. If you downloaded the installation from Intuit, these numbers are in the email Intuit sent you.

Step 5

If you choose the option of Custom and Network Options in the previous step, click on the option of Next to go to the Custom and Network Options page.

Step 6

Click on the option of Next to go to the Upgrade or Change Installation Location page. Choose the option of Change the install location radio button and have a click on the Browse button to navigate to a different location if this is your preference. Click on the option of Next to go to the Ready to install page.

Step 7

Evaluate your settings on the Ready to install page for accurateness. Click on the option of Install to begin installation.

Step 8

Check on the option of Open QuickBooks and Help me get started on the Congratulations! Page. Have a click on the Finish option to perform the checked actions and close the Intuit QuickBooks Installer.

Step 9

Repeat these steps for each PC. You cannot install QuickBooks on a shared PC and use the software across multiple PC’s. You must install the software on each computer.
